How much does it cost to use the SRF tool?
The Self-review Framework in pdf format will remain free to schools. However, in order to continue to manage, host and develop the Framework, and the online tool, Naace makes an annual subscription charge to access and use the online tool. You can purchase a one-year subscription direct from Naace for £50. From 1st April 2019, the fee will rise to £75 but will automatically include School Membership of Naace and access to the members’ resources on the Naace website at www.naace.org.uk . Schools will no longer need to purchase a separate membership to access these materials.
How do I know if my school is registered on the site?
If you are a school in England or Wales, then trying to register a new account on the site using your school's DfE URN (Unique Reference Number) will tell you if your school is registered. If the school is registered, you will not be able to create an account but will be told who acts as the SCHOOL ADMIN user in your school. This person can create an account for you. If you do not recognise the name of this person, for example they might have left the school, you should contact Naace by email at email@example.com.
Schools in Scotland and Northern Ireland should contact Naace by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The site says that my account has expired. What do I do?
All accounts expire if you have not renewed your subscription to the tool. On 15th September 2012 charging was introduced on the site and all accounts automatically required Schools and other users to re-subscribe. This can be done using the School's Admin account. All other accounts are updated once the school has renewed.
What happens to my data if I fail to renew my account?
Holding your data indefinitely without your express permission is in contravention of current legislation and certainly incurs Naace with costs. If you fail to renew within 30 days of your account expiring we will archive your account for a limited period, and, on logging in, provide you with options to either re-instate your account from the archive for a fee (in addition to renewing your subscription), or delete your account (including all data associated it). Should your account be dormant for several months it is automatically deleted and any data cannot be recovered. You will need to set up a new account in these circumstances.
I am not in a school and would like access to the SRF. How do I apply?
Other organisations and individuals
Organisations and individuals requiring new accounts should ring us by email at email@example.com. Immediate access can only be granted using a credit or debit card. If you require a credit invoice, then your account will be activated when payment is made.
Naace Members and ICT Mark Assessors
Individual Naace members receive an individual account as part of their membership. These accounts cannot be used to apply for the ICT Mark and are intended for demonstration purposes. If you are a School member of Naace (fee £75 per annum) you will automatically be offered a school SRF account to participate in the scheme at no additional cost. ICT Mark Assessor accounts provide additional features to support their work in assessing schools.
Can I use my Individual Naace Member account on behalf of a school?
No. Accounts provided to current individual Naace Members as part of their annual subscription do not have the necessary features to enable a school to effectively take part in the Self-review process and eventually apply for the ICT Mark nor can data entered into a Member's account be transferred to a School account. Schools are advised to purchase a full school account which provides School Membership of Naace and access to our website resources at www.naace.org.uk.
